Wordpress Keeps Getting Hacked!

Maybe there is somebody who wants to hack you, no matter what. Keep in mind, that even if you install a fresh copy of wordpress (that version might have a vulnerability, and also it may not be public yet). So, hacking is always possible, if you find the right way.

Anyway, to be more safe, install some security plugins mentioned above, and you should be more safer :)
 
One of several methods I use is to install a plugin called iQ Block Country. Through that plugin I block access to the administrative pages to every country except the one I am in.

I also set the login details different than the associated names in the data base. i.e. Login name: Holy_cow, Pass = some pass, after loged in user name twocows.

I also check for SQL injection and XSS in htaccess.
 
Wordpress plugins - legitimate ones - seem to open a lot of holes. The less plugins the better. We have a plugin (yeah, I know . . . ) that emails us with all file changes to the site every day, so at least we know when it happens.
