Wordpress internal server error

Wordpress site has been running fine. All of a sudden it's coming up with internal server error.
Cant access anything.

Checked htaccess it looks fine - even deleting it makes no difference.

Even tried deleting index.php and just uploading a blank php index file, still same error.

I have about 5 more sites on same hosting, all wordpress, they are fine!

Anyone come across anything like this?
Any pointers?

Have you updated to a new version of WP recently?

Check your apache error log.

There may be a problem with your mysql server, or you have permission issues.

I havnt done any upgrades. I will check logs and permissions later tonight. Annoying (and stupid) thing is don't think I have a backup

Sorted it - problem with host. Fantastic support though - contacted me and sorted it out so I didn't even need to open a ticket
