Wordpress Install Help Needed...

Guys for the love of god i cant install wordpress through ftp. The site had a Joomla template that works perfectly fine. I uploaded wordpress files on it and backed up joomla site, update wp-config file but i cant get wordpress to run installation - it gives me 404 message (screenshot included). Any ideas? My brain is overcooking because of this

Hey man, try this : http://installatron.com/wordpress/install - let me know if it worked.

Also don't forget you need to build a database and put the database info into wp-config.php

Everything (database, user, password, permissions) was created and i updated wp-config with all the values. Unfortunately the hosting company doesnt have cpanel.

Are you sure that you install wp in right folder?
Some hostings have default empty folder /public_html and you need to add domain /public_html/yourdomain.com/

Download wordpress here: https://wordpress.org/download/

Upload the .zip to your cPanel and extract it.

Go to your domain and do the install.

You will need an SQL database so go to MySql database wizard in cpanel and set that up.

tried 2 different installs - root, public_html/domain.

It looks like the the host doesnt execute wordpress php files (placed a test php file in the root) which is weird because joomla site has index.php that is working.

If there was a cpanel i wouldnt be here

There is no cpanel for this hosting provider.

this one wont work for me because the guy already has a working installation of wordpress.... I cant even get to the wordpress installation.

in which directory you have your wordpress files ? send the screenshot of ftp ? and are the file permissions ok ?
