Hi guys ive a new site 1 month old 10 articles of 2000 1 long pillar 12k yes 12k ! words average 3 pics per page.
I did a speed test with GT on the home page
test1.JPG

this result is reflected in wp hummingbird which essentially reports the same issues. Im yet to find a fix for these (im not a coder).
i noticed hummingbird offers a pro service with cdn incorporated is this any use/good worth the dosh?

when testing a pillar page on the same site which is 12000 words long ( yes! 12k of content)
ie xyz.com/guide1 this result is
test 2.JPG

and the yslow score gives me
test 3.JPG

so again the same issues as the main homepage (the 12k page with sht loads of pics loads and performs better than the home page with nothing on it lol)
so GT
advised use cdn ? hummingbird cdn any good?

expire headers ,= There are 3 static components without a far-future expiration date. these are from google/analytics: ive set all the options to 1 year should i set them to 1 week?

make fewer http requests :
This page has 7 external Javascript scripts. Try combining them into one.

This page has 7 external stylesheets. Try combining them into one.

ive combined all the ones possible in hummingbird but the issue persists.
Reduce the number of DOM elements?

anyway im not asking anyone to fix the above just seeing if anyone has similar issues with a theme (my theme is aspire) seems to be one of the problems sited by GT. The other problems seem to be css expiry date issues . Does it matter at this point as im writing to ghosts and will be for some time should i just create the content and clean it up when the site is loaded properly? This learn on the job business really is learn on the job lol
