Hey, you can domain a blog here for free, but it'll be a wordpress subdomain, for eg yourblog.wordpress.com. Also there is some limitations and there will be ads.

In simple words, no. It's better to invest in a domain and cheap shared hosting than to look for a free solution.

There are some free web hosting packages out there but they do have many limitations.
Just Google 'Free Web Hosting' and see if anything can help you but you will need to purchase a domain name as I doubt free web hosting providers will give you one.

You can make a site there that will be on the internet for free, but this type of site will be nearly impossible to monetize in any fashion. There is a place for this type of website, but it isn't much related to IM.

you can start with it, and then in the future buy and transfer your blog to your domain through a 301 redirect

If you're a real blogger, then join Medium and VocalMedia instead of wordpress, blogspot and other similar platforms which are pretty hard to even get indexed in Google now-a-days. In Medium and VocalMedia, you can even join their partner program and make some money with your content.

@LucyDigital While it is true that you can start a free blog with Wordpress.com, if you want to get on their premium hosting plan, you can, but their plans are costly as compared to any equivalent shared hosts. However it is also a fact that they will manage all the server side headaches so you can happily focus on building your blog/ website, only go for it if you have budget for it.

Free hosting is bad... avoid that at all costs... Is better to pay web hosting from OVH yearly only costs 20-35€

If you're really broke, you can use blogger or g sites for this,
Although, none of them will give you the freedom and features of hosting your own WP website,
It's much worth investing into it for long-term project,
You can use some free trial alternatives such as azure, Aws or even DigitalOcean to spare some month costings

Yes.. you will get a free domain and hosting with WordPress but it will be a subdomain.
like yourdomain.wordpress.com
if you don't want to invest in hosting at the initial stage then you can invest here.
and in the future, you can easily redirect it to your domain URL.

If you are just testing things out you should be fine with free hosting and other stuff. But if you plan your own web site better to invet into buying a domain name and getting paid hosting
