Wordpress Help.

Not sure if this is related to wordpress but its what im currently running on my new site. The hosting im using is from another forum, lots of reviews about it which were good so i decided to buy from, its cheap worked.

Im having a problem which happens a few times a day so far. Ill be working on my Wordpress blog, editing the theme, addings post/pages etc.. and the page will freeze and will then display "This webpage can not be displayed"


I contacted the host and according to him it was because my IP had been blocked for some reason, now i know nothing about hosting so i accepted what he said. About an hour later im working again then its freeze's, back to the same problem. The bloke doesn't seem to know what's causing so maybe a member of BHW can help me out.

According to him the page loads on his end fine even sent it to a friend and he said it was OK at the time. Both the CPanel and my site become inaccessible.


Any help would be much appreciated.

Drop an html fine somewhere on the server that you can access outside of wordpress with FTP. That way, you can see if wordpress is misbehaving or the web server. Also, have a friend test both as well since that'll be from a different IP address.

It sounds like a hosting issue but then again...

How many plugins do you have activated? Sometimes this can be due to lack of memory. But most of the time certain plugins like auto tweet eat up your server's processor and memory.

which host is it on? Is it host the name?

Site is called HostDing.com. Im guessing the guy is a reseller. Just spoke to him and he told me the servers are down right now because there being DDOS, 10GBPS. Im guessing its true because there are a few other people complaining but that doesn't explain why i was getting this problem yesterday and earlier on.

Hi I just looked into the site and its down my suggestion to you is have them do a backup of your site or you can do it if you know how, with some kind of Word Press
C loner ,Also hosting is very cheap look into another company and also self educate your self on Cpanel WordPress installation how to change a theme and you should be good to go. MY Diagnosis IS ROOKIE HOSTING COMPANY.

I know how to use Wordpress perfectly fine that's not my problem. Spent $9 on hosting for 3 months. I know its not a lot but don't have enough for say hosting from hostgator. Going to try and get a refund.

That is cheap but as with any hosting you usually get what you pay for. I suggest you move hosting to another company.
