Hi all,

I have two sites that I have the domain and hosting registered with Godaddy and then I've installed the WordPress app in the hosting center.

I've noticed a lot of "down" times and shitty loading times! Is this to be expected with this combo? I've also tried to delete certain addons (in WordPress) as it's still slow.

Any tips?

This is what I'm referring to:

Thanks, I'll let you know how it goes.

Man I have had the same problem, godaddy hosting is junk. I have pingdom crawl my site and it is up and down all the time. it is not your site it is goddaddy I thought the same thing until I got mad and called them and they said that there is a problem with there servers. My site was down for a the last couple of days.

Godaddy sucks when it comes to wordpress, HOSTGATOR is the way to go, fast and no downtime :) hope that helps.

Thanks guys - looks like the W3 Total Chace - is working a bit better now. I guess this will be a temporary fix to a permanent problem.....

Is it possible to transfer domains and hosting from Godaddy to Hostgator? Or is it pretty tricky?

purchase hostgator hosting ... point your domain to hostgator (change nameserver to hostgator nameserver).... cancel your godaddy hosting .... you can keep domain to godaddy

Ug... all sorts of issues with WP on GoDaddy. I've actually started requiring that hosting is NOT done through GoDaddy from my new clients.

Does Hostgator have the wordpress addon? Do you know if I would have to re-upload my wordpress site?

I wrote a review on godaddy a while back. I know every website gets bad reviews but i have to say after the feed back i saw, i'd never ever EVER host with godaddy. That said they may well be a great company :)

I have same problems at iPage. Website loads incredibly slow even the admin section.

godaddy might sucks, but also some of the wordpress plugins are so bad written, try to disable all and see if it changes something
