wordpress for gaming site?

hi guys im new here and just wondered if i could get some advice from the regulars here
basicly i own 3 large facebook pages all gaming related my plan is to start a website for them ie general game stuff news reviews etc my question to you is wordpress the best option for a site like this or could you recommended something else i should use.

Wordpress is good for almost any type of site, so yes. I use WP for everything. Combining different themes and premium plugins you can do just about anything and make it automated.
 
looks like this will be your first website, so I would suggest you to go with WordPress because it's simple and easy to learn. You don't need any coding knowledge at all. Plus there are a lot of gaming themes available for WP that you can choose from and make a pretty good looking site. :)

There's simply no money to be made in gaming sites. My site grew to 40,000 hits per month but I still couldn't make more than $50 per month
 
Watch out for free themes for WP, they're often full of security holes and sometimes even malicious code. Do check the reviews and comments about the themes before you install, as I've seen more than one site lose all their work because of malicious activity.

You're doing something wrong.

OP, try Gameleon, should take care of your needs. Together with My Arcade Plugin you'll develop a website in few hours.

Probably, I made the site in January this year but gave up a month or so ago. Wordpress limit earnings to wordads which was a real kick in the nuts and I couldn't be bothered with the hassle. I have absolutely no idea how to make money and to be honest it's hard work. Also, if you stop writing articles then the hits drop dramatically as gaming news gets old very fast. To be fair I did make around $700 worth of review products but can't feed the family with a mouse and keyboard!

Join a PPL ad network for gaming. Then make your own reviews for some games telling how cool they are and leave an affilated register link for those game. You'll earn more than you do at present :) Good luck!
 
I feel that wordpress works well with any type website it is highly adaptable with all of the plugins and themes available
