WordPress E-Commerce Opinions

I'm really torn between the two scripts. WP e-commerce and WooCommerce. I read the negative reviews on WooCommerce about how the script is getting TOO big for the support. They never provide support basically and the script is buggy. Then I see that WP e-commerce doesn't have the plugins that WooCommerce has. Honestly I don't know if I need a script at all.

Here's what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to resell fiverr gigs on my blog. Social media, SEO, Traffic, Links all that jazz. I'm thinking to start out I can just make them pages and put paypal buttons on them.

I don't know, maybe I'm just dreaming too big trying to use one of these scripts to sell some fiverr gigs.

What do you guys think?

That's what I've been thinking too. With a small reseller website it might just be too much. I'm not going to have a permanent coder with me. I'll check out magento though. I also found some other free small estore plugins for wordpress. Guess I just have to play around with it and see what I like.

Cart 66 looks like the best option based on what I've seen and how it integrates into WordPress. Do you know of any sites that use Cart66 and have a WordPress blog integrated into it?

you can get a themeforest template and just add gravity forms, that should solve all your problems if i understand you correctly... (you don't need a full eCommerce site just to sell fiverr gigs since you are just outsourcing the product)... the plugin will create all the forms you need and redirect the person to Paypal after he submitted all the information you want. should cost less than 100$ in total (only the template and the gravity forms plugin)

I have used Magento, e-commerce and woocommerce. As of right now I am happier with woocommerce simply because I'm not having to code as much. I am finding plugins that I can either use the code from to integrate into wordpress php. I haven't posted a question to woo support but I have read many instances of no or delayed support for issues that are critical.

If you are looking for someone with experience with Wordpress then I might be of some help. I've been dieing to start a
web shop myself but it's just hard for me to get a license and all that stuff.

I'd go with WooCommerce since there are certain plugins that will make your life much easier (promotional wise as well).
Should also be able to do PHP if needed.

Go with WooCommerce. I use it for all my clients who need eCommerce sites. It's really flexible.
