Any advice on how to find free wordpress themes that allow you to change logo? Seems like all the cool ones I find will not let you upload a logo but only change the text? Any help would be appreciated.

Most of the free themes I use for my PBN sites have the option to change logo. You are probably doing something wrong or not searching properly.
 
Yeah, Most of the free themes have the option to change logo.
Check out documentation on that WP, for that particular theme page or another source from where you are getting free theme.

I found more premium themes do not allow an easy way to change logo.

You can access it in the customization page, should be under one of the tabs to add a logo. That is the easy way to change it.

IIRC some themes let me do it from the dashboard but I cant remember the details exactly so I will not give any advice on that.

What about adding a photo for author box. Gravatar has never worked for me.
 
I will have to check my excel sheets to see if I use that theme at all and if I do will see if I have an image for author box. If I do I will post back or PM you. I should have time tomorrow (Monday) to dig through my PBN sheets and see if I use it. I do not think I do (I don't recognize the name) but will give it a look for you and see if I can walk you through both the Logo and the Author Image.
 
You are in BHW and you still using themes that do not allow for logos, c'mon man.
 
How can it be so hard to right click ,see where the logo is sitting, then change it for yours with same name, it will get over wtitten done.

My recommendation would be to search around for a nice theme that you can purchase if it's a project that you're spending any considerable amount of time on.

When I got serious about working with WordPress, I sprung for a paid theme right away.

Its not that they dont allow them but the logos I have created wont upload. I know nothing about building websites either.
 
And I am taking that Nargil. That plug in was NOT on my list of plug ins I commonly use.

PM me the name of the theme you're using and a link to your logo, and i'll check it out for you over the next day or so, and post some instructions back in this thread.

Combination of "Author Image", "Display Widget" and "Image Widget" plugins and you can have a lot of fun with customization. :)
 
most premium theme comes with a demo and documentation, kindly read that... the logo changer could be somewhere in the theme options....
