Wordpress database full with 8000 posts

Hey there !

Start my auto blogging journey there is 4 days, I got my bot scrapping and posting automaticaly since today: database error...

Go to check this, and see that my 100mo Database is actually full (wp_posts table weight 95mo lol).

Any idea about how to optimize this ? Because database is like very expensive with my host and its not a durable solution, even if I add +40e /month for 4gb of DB Storage I will hit it soon, because I plan to get a blog with like 100K post to test things..


Before telling me to change host, if that is possible, do you got any advice about how to optimize this ?

My posts are like 800 words longs, not that long !

Try using a plugin named WP-Optimize, but I doubt it (or any other similar plugin for this task) will help much. You have to upgrade the hosting plan I believe, because 800 posts is nothing and you are just starting.

Which host are you using?

8000 posts* but yes its nothing lol !


OVH ! Because Im french and want to promote french things but f*** them if they can't give me a good offer.....

Yes, 8000 ;) .

...and for autoblogging, you need to have space that can easily accommodate more than 8k.

Are you importing images too?

Nop ! Images are sets in with externals url !
 
Are u using free or paid wordpress theme. Check your theme. Cracked themes create issue.

Well boi IDK, I tell you what my host tell in dashboard, it just separate the files (website files) and the database, dont seem that strange lol

I totally forgot that shared hosting can limit databases. I’m sorry about that! I’ve been using VPS/Dedicated servers for almost a decade exclusively. I haven’t seen a limit on a database in a long time and forgot that’s a thing!

Oh finaly can you share me a good vps provider ? Can't more with paying 5€/month for a single website host service like this, with 100mo DB...........!!
 
I use OVH US/OVH cloud for dedi and vps hosting.

Hostinger is another great cheap vps host.

You can also use digital ocean and vultr. 1gb ram is more than enough for WordPress hosting. You can install WordPress right from the dashboard in digital ocean, or you can use a tool like wordops which installs a full stack and optimizes nginx etc

I use them myself for my autoblogs and never had an issue, besides.... the server are really fast and the automatic installation of a new wordpress sites comes configured with cloudflare and wp-cache.
For a light weight theme I recommend Neve (free theme with pro version available) or Authentic.
Frontpage loads in 1.5s even with a general news type of autoblog full of images.

There is only so much you can do without upgrading your hardware. MySQL or (whatever dB you're using) has no hard limit on the amount of rows you can store. The limitation comes from external sources (your hardware).
 
I use linode for my hosting. They install the OS and you do the rest. Really easy with a bash script to install all you need for a wordpress server. Then you can just upgrade yourhardware when you need to at any time without migrating. Best part is the more you learn linux the less you use plugins to do the same thing. Imagine wordpress without the crap? If its not better at what you are trying to do its at least a lot faster.

Yeah already know that im programer lol but OVH limit the size of your DB, and manage it apart from the main storage, I can't do nothing about that

Will create a separate mysql database on a linode vm make a wordpress site loading faster?
I think a mysql database on linode you can easily increase the dabase limit size to 2 GB or more, on webhosting you can not do that.
