Recently I acquired a customer to do SEO on their site and I have found many useful tips here on BHW about SEO. I added Google Analytics tracking code to their site a few days ago to collect data over the next month or so before I can talk to the customer about SEO results.

My question is how do you show your client the effectiveness of your SEO. Of course more traffic and orders is an indication of something working well. However I would like to directly show the client that the increase in sales was a result of my SEO. Is there a way to track the origin of where a sale came from.

Ex. Client searched "how to clean my white leather shoes" and I would have a site optimized for that phrase. The customer clicks in and is walked to checkout. How do you provide your customers data to show your effectiveness.

Been Searching for a little while, but I might just be phrasing something simple into something complex. Any help is appreciated, I know the BHW community slays SEO.

    Thanks!
