    I am looking for a decent plugin for Wordpress to make columns on a page / post. I have looked through a few. I am using wpcolumns at the moment, however using this plugin, the images seem to always go out of line. Any other suggestions paid or free?

    Thanks,

    Andy.

    micky you can always use mictosoft word to make colums and stuff then copy past in the visual area.

    i always use it whenever write, copy past and you'll avoid alot of headache.

    Think this may be where things went wrong. Was copying and pasting from an old HTML website into wordpress. Basically copying shit into notepad / wordpad / word. Should have just re-wrote it.

    But still. Wpcolumns still seems to have issues. Loves dragging text from below the columns to above the columns. Also seems to blank some images out of the columns. (same format, same size, same everything. ) Been over it loads of times. Nothing wrong with the code. Cached not Cached everything. Just does not seem to work quite right.

    I suggest you codepress plugin for WordPress column plugin.
    With this plugin just select the column shortcode it will automatically add the plugins and there are different columns widths available you can make all combinations.
    It is more useful to make columns easily and quickly.

    Column Short codes - Add short codes to create columns in your post or pages.
    sometimes you may able to divide your page into different columns.
    And you can add image to the column.

    WEN Responsive Columns - This will provides you with a short code that will help display the columned content.
    This will also provide adding images to it.

    eVision Responsive Column Layout Short codes - It has the Responsive ( bootstrap ) column layout.
    The text and image can be post by wrapping content with the short code.

    My suggestions are,
    Admin slug column - Easy to use and WP code formatting.
    Column shortcodes - You can also type shortcode inside the editor, easily overwrite the existing stylesheet, and you can change the padding of an individual column.
    Grid column - It adds media button to easily insert the shortcode and It can work with any editors.

    WP first give importance to the default size of the image.
    If images going out of column line means you may give style="width:100%" ; for that image.
    After giving this css to that line you may check that.
    Otherwise the whole content moving out of the line means you can move to any other related plugins.

    Please don't copy paste HTML generated by MS Office.

    Visual Composer does columns nicely enough.

    Alternatively, a little HTML and CSS should work:

    Code:
    HTML
    <div>
    <div class="box c2">
    <p>1/2 Column</p>
    </div>
    <div class="box c2">
    <img src="img.jpg" />
    </div>
    </div>

    CSS
    .box {
        float: left;
        margin: 0 1%;
        background: #5F8E9E;
        color: white;
        padding: 2%;
    }
    .box:first-of-type {
        margin-left: 0;
    }
    .box:last-of-type {
        margin-right: 0;
    }
    .box img {
       max-width: 100%;
       height: auto;
    }
    .c1 {
      width: 96%;
    }
    .c2 {
      width: 45%;
    }
    .c3 {
      width: 28%;
    }
    .c4 {
      width: 19.5%;
    }
    .c5 {
      width: 14.4%;
    }
    .c6 {
      width: 11%;
    }
    .c7 {
      width: 8.571428571428571%;
    }
    .c8 {
      width: 6.75%;
    }
    .c9 {
      width: 5.333333333333333%;
    }
    .c10 {
      width: 4.2%;
    }
    .c11 {
      width: 3.2768687%;
    }
    .c12 {
      width: 2.5047053098678%;
    }
    .c2-3 {
      width: 62%;
    }
    .c3-4 {
      width: 70.5%;
    }

    Adjust the class, depending on how many columns you'd like.
