Wordpress Colorbold Theme - How Can I Remove the Date and Comment Panel?

Does anyone know how to not display the left hand side panel in the blog mode which shows the date and add comment? I just can't seem to find how to do this. Any help is most appreciated.

It seems to be in the colorbold theme index.php file. I can edit it and remove it but I then lose my right side panel.
