    Does anyone know of a resource for wordpress for coding pages?

    It seems like the simplest thing I want to do always takes me a fuckin hour to do. For example. I just want to make a blank full width page. I've been trying to do this shit for about an hour now. Anyone know of a resource for basic coding help like this?

    I've created a blank .php file and added it to the /www/wp-content/themes/blackbird folder via FTP. I just don't know what code to get rid of so the theme is still there but the content is blank with no sidebar.

    Code:
    <?php

    /*

      Template Name: Blog Page

     */

    ?>

    <?php get_header(); ?>

    <div class="page-heading">

        <h1 class="page-title"><?php the_title(); ?></h1>

    </div>

    <div class="clear"></div>

    <!--Start Page Content -->

    <div class="page-content-container">

        <div class="page-content">

            <div class="grid_16 alpha">

                <div class="content-bar">

                    <?php

                    $limit = get_option('posts_per_page');

                    $paged = (get_query_var('paged')) ? get_query_var('paged') : 1;

                    query_posts('showposts=' . $limit . '&paged=' . $paged);

                    $wp_query->is_archive = true;

                    $wp_query->is_home = false;

                    ?>

                    <!-- Start the Loop. -->

                    <?php if (have_posts()) : while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>

                            <!--post start-->

                            <div id="post-<?php the_ID(); ?>" <?php post_class(); ?>>

                                <h1 class="post_title"><a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>" rel="bookmark" title="<?php printf(esc_attr__('Permalink to %s', 'black-bird'), the_title_attribute('echo=0')); ?>"><?php the_title(); ?></a></h1>

    Yes, I've looked on Google and Wordpress for the answer. It can't be this hard. I just want a full length blank page with no side bar. I'm currently experimenting which code to delete. I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. It's just so frustrating trying to do something so simple. Not having the knowledge is crippling.

    I wanted a blank page with that stuff, so I could put my own content on there without the side bar. I eventually figured out how to do it. Thanks for checking in with me though!

    Great you solve it and you must to know that once you start to understand how wp is coded will be very simple to make adjustments
