    Hey guys,
Just a little info that might help if you think your wordpress site is running a little slow.We are all so busy writing posts to make some dosh that we sometimes forget to check that all is running smoothly, sometimes it gets a bit untidy around the place but we don`t know it.Try installing a plugin such as WP-OPTIMIZE ,this will make a hell of a difference, clears out old spam comments, post revisions, unapproved comments and also optimizes your DB,cool and its free. You can also install another plugin called http compression which will speed up page loads tremendously or maybe WPCache. These things alone will make a great difference and i expect you guys know quite a few more,if so why not help everyone to have a speedy WP blog after all time is money

Thanks. I will have to give this a try. I started having problems with speed on WP last week and I think it is because of content.

Maybe you can try deleting some unnecessary Wordpress plugins.

it can be the plugins but it can also be some problem in the code of your theme (or the plugins). Is your wordpress theme old or custom built? if so make sure to have it checked for effective coding

Anything you can do so that WP doesn't hit the database AT ALL on each request will save having to muck around with the DB. That means spending a few hours working through every setting on W3 total cache, caching everything possible and moving stuff off to a CDN where you can

Use Cloudflare+Cache plugin. Your site shouldn't ever load slowly again.

Expect W3 Total cache to stop working if you have any other kind of plugin that provides dynamic content on the website (not via javascript such as Adsense, Analytics, etc.) but dynamic content on the server side.

For those things you can exclude certain pages, posts, whatever from cache. They'll go back to being slow but if you need server side script you have to bite the bullet
