wordpress blog comments?

Should I allow comments on my WP blogs? Currently have filter on and get notice if someone comments. Should I allow comments with links? Or remove links?

It depends on your blog.
If I would be planning on building community, I would allow commenting, however if my blog would be "Build and forget", I would turn off comments to avoid spam, etc.

Use an antispam plugin, put filters, don't let post URL's, etc. If your blog is legit, visitors sometimes want to comment

Whenever I get those spam post, I edit those comments, Remove all links, Change the article making it related to the post and Publish to populate my sites even more.

Well, it would be better to hear some feedback from your page visitors for your site's improvement. You can filter out the comments you're receiving later on.

You can allow comments with links but manually approve the link for spam check before publishing the comment.

Don't give auto approval comments to your site because it is spamming.So you can do manually by approving the informative and real comments with and without links that is not a problem for your site.Each comment should be valuable to your post that is very important so concentrate on that.

I agree. This wouldn't be a problem if you choose not to auto-approve comments. They can stay in your dashboard and not get published if you opt them not to be published.

Comments are very beneficial social signals to a blog - especially nowadays with SocialSEO. So yes, I would definitely recommend that you keep the lines of communication open with your visitors and allow them to comment on your blog. But... if you're not going to manage your comment section, then it can turn out to be more harm than good. Manage it right and your comment section will flourish into a beautiful garden -- Manage it wrong it will will turn into an ally full of weeds. Keep moderation on and only approve relevant comments. Don't look at comments as something separate from your content, but rather, look at them as an extension of your content - because that's how Google and other search engines (and other visitors for that matter) view it.

As far as allowing comments with links, well you can decide that when you moderate the comment. You can easily tell if a link is relevant to the content, or something just stuffed in the comment by someone just trying to get a backlink. Now as far as allowing comments in the website link field, then I see nothing wrong with that. But overall, I'd definitely say that all the links in your comment section should be nofollow (and most blogging platforms already mark them as such).

I would suggest get a spam filter plug in.
