Wordpress: Best security plugin?

Just installed Better WP Security, great plugin, thanks for the recommendation.
 
As now i days lots of wordpress malicious code injection ...i base 64 attached and span id attach in header.php ,footer.php and index.php . How to prevent those attaches ??

i am sick and tired of removing those codes everyday
 
Get better wordpress security, it works and gets the job done!
 
just google it and you'll get tons of them or you could use Better WP Security,

When I had that problem at Hostgator I called customer support who told me where the attack occured and then cleaned it for me. Bluehost is another story, they told me to figure it out myself. :(

At Bluehost I was restoring from their backup everyday to get rid of the malicious code but soon got tired of even that. I finally (after making my own backups) deleted the entire Wordpress install and I'm in the process of re-installing Wordpress myself. I'm not using the Simple Script (or Fantastico) installer. I'm doing it all myself and I'll be using the Better WP Security with a fresh install. Here is to better days ahead. :)
 
perhaps you want to try wpOptimix? It is the best so far compared to the security plugins I have used over the years.
 
as a follow up to my previous post:

I tried Better WP Security but I don't use Better WP Security anymore... the Better WP Security suggests renaming the wp-content directory for security and this has broken a lot of my other plugins...

I'm now using Wordfence and I like it better than Better WP Security and Bulletproof Security...
 
I'm trying out the WP-Security after noticing numerous brute force attacks against one of my blogs.
 
Tried using Better WP Security and noticed that it FUBAR'd a slew of plugins and widgets. Tread lightly with this one.
 
In fairness, I want to report back that ii was another plugin not Better WP Security creating the havoc on my system.
 
Better WP Security is working problem-free for me. I've had no issues with other plugins upon its installation.
