Hey there i don't think you need wordpress if you have magento, magento is a csm as well so you don't really need that but i am sure that it is possible with a good programer.
If you are going for an online store you better of with magento it is good system.

In my opinion it depends on your budget, Magento is the best but it is very expensive and complicated to maintain, it is the best solution if you are serious about your online store if not, or if you are just publishing a couple products check wordpress or other opensource alternatives...
Magento in present is the leading cms for online shopping and easy to manage...Integrating wordpress with magento or viceversa is the better way to enhance the online store..so if you can handle the integration then better use wordpress with magento cuz I hav just used it n m really satisfied in using it..! 
Wow that is so good to know. Do you know if magneto works with Doba and/or eBay ? I want to be able to import a full catalog to my website and post it without manually doing it. Or if there is a better solution than Doba please tell me cause it isn't cheap.
