Wordpress and forum?

Can I make a wordpress site and insert a forum into it? Or do I need to make them separate and add a link or something from one to the other?Also, how can I make the users register only to the forum and not the website? Thanks for the the answers, and I wish you all a good day. Cheers!

There are plugins for Wordpress forums that install a forum on your wordpress site and share the registration.
If you want the users to have seperate registrations then install a forum on a subdomain and run the sites seperate.
