Wordpress and duplicated content

I'm a bit concerned about duplicated content because of wordpress..
Let's say I post an article on my hompeage (displaying full article)..
All good.. But what happens when google index also the unique website path of an article (http://website.com/author/article-name) ?
So that means the same article will be posted on homepage and on the unique path of the article..

It will be posted on:
http://website.com
and
http://website.com/author/article-name

Won't that be treated as duplicated content in google's eyes?

That'll be a very good idea! But i recommend setting a click here to read more button so that you know where the preview will end and you could create a better end so that it forces the visitor to open the page out of curiosity! Also add a featured image.
 
I don't think that'll be a big problem though because google knows wordpress.Well if you're still worried you could use the method i replied to the other comment!;)
 
But the problem is that I would like full post only on my homepage.. I don't want "excerpts" based blog..
 
For this purpose you can use landing pages, are better for your goal.
WordPress was born to make blogs with the preview on the homepage and the content inside dedicated location of the site.
 
Yeah the best way is to set all pages other than the actual post url to excerpts.

I'm amazed not a single member talked about canonicalization. In simple term, you can simply turn on the "Canonical URL" in AIO SEO/Yoast plugin and forget about the duplicate content issues. As long as its turned on, no matter how many pages on your site displays the same content; Google will consider it as single post only.

That can be achieved using the "more tag".
