Are they compatible? I mean, if I set up a site using a wordpress plugin, can I use adsense on the site?

    TOS & Copyright

    Advertising

Adsense, Yahoo, Chitika, TextLinkAds and other ads are not allowed on free WordPress.com blogs. If you would like to run ads on your blog, one of these options may work for you:

    • We have a feature called Ad Control that lets WordPress.com bloggers with a lot of traffic (generally 25,000 pageviews/month or more) and appropriate content turn on AdSense and Skimlinks for their blog and split the resulting revenues 50/50 with us. If you?d like to apply to try Ad Control, please use the form below to send us a message.
    • You can run any ads you?d like if you manage your own WordPress installation. More info, including hosting recommendations, can be found at get.wp.com.
    • VIP blogs are permitted to run ads.
In addition to AdSense-type ads, please do not use the following services on your blog: sponsored / paid posts including PayPerPost, ReviewMe, and Smorty; affiliate / referral links to the following domains: usercash, clickbank, clickhop, cashrocks, payingcash; clicktrackers (and any similar) and any promotion of the ?I made a million on the internet and so can you? type of advertising (i.e. MLM, network marketing, cash gifting, etc.). Paid or sponsored post content is also prohibited. Please check our page on types of blogs for more information about what content is and isn?t welcome on WordPress.com.
If you are in any doubt, please contact support for clarification.
Note: To support the service (and keep free features free), we sometimes run advertisements. We try hard to only run them in limited places. If you would like to completely eliminate ads from appearing on your blog, we offer the No-Ads Upgrade.

If you need a free site with adsense use blogger, wordpress is pointless since they make you wait to get ads,and they take such a big cut.

If you set up 50x blogger sites you could easily get to the 100 payout if you work on the sites just a few hours a day, with 10 sites a day.

You can. but it depends on the plugin. If it against adsense rules, you'll be definitely banned. If you tell us more details, we can help you.

You can run Adsense on a Wordpress site without issue. In fact, there are a few themes designed specifically for monetizing Adsense. You may want to look into CTRTheme or Heatmap Pro. Make sure to include a TOS and Privacy Policy per Adsense TOS.
