Wordpress Account Email Address Used

Hello

We are having second thoughts of changing our email address in our wordpress account as it might affect anything on our account or maybe on our site. Is it okay to just change it? Thank you so much!

I had no problem changing my email. I didn't have a newsletter or a blog on my site, though.

Oh that's nice. But what I meant is the email address in my wordpress account (in my personal information) and not on my website... Do you have any idea if it will affect anything? Thank you

you can change it safely, it's mostly used to send you alerts of activity from your WP dashboard, or to recover your password and such...

Hello, I just tried changing it but it says that I need to confirm it first thru my email but they are not sending a confirmation email. I already tried it several times. DO you have any ideas of this? thankyou

ugh, I'm not technically-inclined enough to be able to give specific details of why this is happening, sorry

All I know is that yeah, changing the admin email is tricky with WP, and it's become even trickier after WP 4.9, I don't know why they've made it so complicated.

Just install a free plugin from WP's database that allows you to change the email and then you can uninstall it back.

I think the plugin below could help, but if it doesn't, you can search for something like "WP SMTP" in WP's plugins database, but you need to look up tutorials online on how to set it up as from what I remember it's pretty complicated for non-technical people.

No, it will not have any affect to it in terms of traffic or SEO ranking.
