    Upgraded one of my sites to the new 3.5 as I was giving it a re-design. Wrote five new posts which I was going to link to bigger pages on my site. Clicked the hyperlink button and......nothing.

    Ive arsed about on the wordpress forums and it seems to be a common problem but the suggestions from mods appears to be re-install your site and replace all plug ins etc.......basically stuff that will take a lot of time and may or may not work. Just wondering if anyone else has seen or solved this problem ?

    It breaks many sliders for sure but haven't seen an issue with the links yet (except in the sliders). My quickie fix is go here

    http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.8.0.js

    and overwrite the jquery.js file in wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js

    It basically just reverts the jquery from version 1.8.3 back to 1.8.0 until a better fix is created.

    Give it a go and see if it keeps you from a bunch of work. Make sure you back up your original jquery.js so you can put it back it the old jquery breaks something.

    Thank you very much. Not sure if its working yet as my server usually takes an hour to update but seems like a sensible solution.

    For me, it was a particular plugin that caused the conflict. I just kept disabling plugins until I found the culprit. Unfortunately, I cannot now remember which plugin that was. Hope this helps though.

    If it helps anyone else, this piece of code inserted at the bottom of my config.php file worked on some of my sites

    define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false );

    My main problem appears to be a conflict with the Yoast plugin...so if you are having a problem it might be worth deactivating that one first.
