Hello everybody. I have a big problem with my site. I tried to install a plugin and I accidently deleted some code in functions.php , and I coudn`t undo the changes.
I am moving to a new host right now, and I want to install wordpress again on that site and keep all my posts and settings I did.
Is there a way to recover that data?
Thank you

install new wordpress and upload all your wordpress plugins and themes then use your old database. Simple

If you have deleted some files on your hosting server you can try ask them to restore backup, some hosting do this for free.

Just copy the file function.php to replace

if you are talking about moving all the posts and settings completely, the simplest way to do that is to use "BlogZapper"

I tried to reupload the functions.php file , but it`s still not working.
Any other sugestions?

Installing a new working wordpress blog, copy that functions.php file and replace the old broken one.
Do not just replace uninstalled functions.php file

It will work

Or you could use some cloning script ;)

BK.

Export your db's and import them to your new blog (from cpanel).
Set the db permissions in the wp-config.php
Manually copy plugins & themes folders to your new hosting.
That's it.
