EddyD is just surprised how someone who is for almost 2 years on BHW doesn't know the difference between a self-hosted wordpress blog (download zips from wp.org and upload them to your webhost) and a free hosted wp.com blog.
Thats usually something you figure out in your first few days in IM.
In short ... you need your own domain if your want a fully customizable blog and you cannot sync your locally installed blog with a free blog on *.wordpress.com
Brilliant ... to the point... I got wat I wanted to know.. and I never used WP in my life. coz its time consuming process for me.. where as Blogger i can make a site with 200 plus posts in 1 day.. so thats the reason i never gave importance to WP... but now i will be .. coz im gonna buy a domaain and host ..
