What are your opinions on word count?

Does having a article with a word count of 1500-2000 words really help with seo?

According to the articles I’ve read about creating SEO-friendly content, it’s better to post longer pieces than a bunch of shorter ones. However, people seem to think that short keyword-oriented content will get their sites to rank higher on SERPs. That’s not true, as far as I can tell, search engines prioritize high-quality longer pieces that are also relevant to the niche. So 1500-2000 words would be great, but I’ve also seen pieces that are 3000-5000 words rank very high.

Most people grab 10x articles ranging around 600-700 words. But they are also quality articles
Or fewer articles but 1500-3000 words each?

Which one is more effective. More words the better?
 
Quality over quantity, my friend.

Of course, a single 200 word article that is "high-quality" won't do you much good. It still needs to be realistic.

I believe that the 1500-3000-word articles are definitely the better option. However, you have to make sure that the articles themselves are high-quality. If you think that a 700-word article will say all there is to say about a topic, then leave it at that. Don’t stretch out the article unnecessarily by repeating the things you’ve already said. In my experience, though, you can write at least 1500 words about most topics, though.
 
1500-2500 words article is Standard. But I believe in Competition When my competitors having 2500 Words article, I must try to post 2500-3000 Words Better Quality Articles.
 
usually 1000 words per article should be fine, needs to be unique
 
All my articles 1500+ but I plan to update them later down the line as well
 
Personally, I see a LOT of 2500+ word articles which are simply ripping off other top 10 articles with more words. Difference between them and the top 10 is quality. Most are utter crap.

Bigger is better, but if you are going to write crap, don't bother.
 
Check your top 3 competitors. If they rule the serps with 200 word articles, you do the same. If they have 3k articles, you guessed it, 3k it is.

There is simple math - more content (words) more keywords more possible rankings more money Rolling in. I never keep under 3500 words for buying guides. And i would never go under 1500 words for simple article. Most of my buying guides are ~6500 words.

Thinking about buying content for my new affiliate site, but scared and don't even know who would be the best to buy from.
 
Yes it will as long it is unique, relevant and highly informative..
 
1500-2000 words are usually enough to start ranking, but you can write longer articles if you can, do not forget to optimize them with long tail keywords
 
I was reading one of Neil patel's blogs and he talked about why his blogs are so long. Because his blogs are super long. But apparently if and SEO legend like him says the longer the article the better, it must be so haha. But yeah, he had a few reasonings behind it as well, I just don't remember it.
 
As a writer, I'm usually asked to create 500 to 700 word articles that include keywords naturally. I think many articles longer than that tend to regurgitate the info and often come across as trying too hard.
 
For money site, long articles will definitely help. You can see the top 10 websites for most niches that they are mostly ranking for content with 1000+ words.
