Well it happened to me too for a ecommerce keyword but i do not understand Google algorithm at all. Not sure what i did to get that to happen.

You don't need to understand anything if you build a big bold website 300+ pages of good content.
In a year with just throwing in a few backlinks you'll have a money making machine.
