Hello,

So I like shopify more, because I have already build a site up and it looks great. I have all the menus in shopify already, but I just close my store because I don't want to pay $29 + $10 app per month for now since I couldn't promote my store yet. Also it was a general store which makes it hard for me to promote, now I'm considering trying other niches and see how it goes, but that would mean I need to create many sites and try many things before I am successful with 1 store, and I would have many sites, unless I will have to close the ones which are not working and lose all the work and effort that was put into making the store.

So, I think it would cost alot to go with shopify because I don't think I would just sell in 1 niche, my question is, if I go with wordpress (which I'm familiar with),

1. Will I face problems?
2. Are there going to be plugins that cost money, do aliexpress import and aliexpress reviews plugin cost money and how much.
3. Is it a good idea to switch to woocommerce?

If ask about comfort and ease of use, I prefer shopify, because many people are using shopify, but I have problem with the pricing.

Thanks.

Dont compare shopify with woocommerce + WP combo, Its an insult to woocommerce.

I like woo more though but I will drop a thread soon comparing the 2

Great question OP. I'm thinking of giving dropshipping a shot, and was planning to go with woocommerce/wordpress, but I have been wondering what the difference between the two is.

Care to elaborate, Nut? :D

Simplicity and ease of use : Shopify
Functionality: Woo. You can do sooo much. Did I say how much you can do with it? Of course the more you expand on plugins etc you'd be looking at a VPS here as well.

I have not set up my own custom Shopify store so cannot say how many apps you'd need for same functionality for which you'd pay an arm & leg monthly.

Woo commerce, the flexibility of the WP + Woo Commerce trumps Shopify, however, if you are looking for easy and quick shopfiy can certainly perform all of that.

Woocommerce if you know what you're doing. It's cheaper and you can customize it more. You can't even customize shopify checkout unless you're enterprise. If you're clueless when it comes to css/php and refuse to learn then I would go with shopify.

I've only used Shopify so I would suggest that - super easy, simple and functional

I've done millions in rev with Shopify and would never consider anything else for E-commerce

But I haven't used Woo so I'm fairly biased
