WooCommerce Site Not Accepting AMEX?

Not sure if this is the correct section, please move if necessary.

Quick question, I have a WooCommerce site and use the PayPal Advanced plugin to take orders via CC. I keep getting requests from customers saying they are not able to use their AMEX cards via the site? Is this something to do with WooCommerce or PayPal Advanced? I'm assuming the answer is PP Advanced. However, can't AMEX users just attach their card to their PP account and use it that way? So why would it be any different if I'm using the PP Advanced plugin that uses the same functionality?

If anyone has had this problem and/or knows a solution, it'd be gladly appreciated.

AMEX is weird. This is an ongoing problem with Paypal and AMEX. AMEX blocked my services from being paid for, and then sent me a letter saying they lost a class action suit and so now I'm allowed to accept payments from them. I haven't accepted them for about 4 years now.

You should probably contact customer service for Paypal and WooCommerce to see what's up. Do Paypal first. They'll tell you what's wrong.

Thanks for the response. Yeah, as I read more about AMEX, seems like their fees may have something to do with it. I'll reach out to PP and update here if there's anything worthy of sharing. Thanks again!

You can process Visa and Mastercard by default..
