So for around 18 months iv had 2 adult tumblrs. Around 50k followers. I have never used bots or anything like that. I post every other day and like/reblog others stuff to keep it ticking away. Woke up and both are saying terminated. I know its part and parcel of running adult blogs. I have read of folks getting theres banned a lot on here and always presumed it was due to them automating them with bots etc. Iv sent them an email in the hope i can get them back but not hopeful. Lets see how they reply

Was you making enough money for it to be worth the effort? If not maybe its time to drop it and move onto something else. Could be a blessing in disguise.

How well did you convert with all of those followers?

Just wondering - if there is still money to be made, I can see why you're so upset!

The tumblr accounts were more about sending folk over to my main porn site and building a solid backlink profile. Still waiting on there answer. I have some twitters, if they dont unban me il need to focus on them. I should just have spammed the shit out of tumblr like everyone else haha trying to be as legit as possible and still get smacked

I had thousands of posts with my main site in each post. Wondering if thats why i got hit in fact. You think if they stay banned, il lose a lot of my serp rankings or are tumblr backlinks not that important?

You posted your website on "thousands of posts", that goes against Tumblr's ToS since you're using Tumblr with the purpose of marketing your product.

Other than that, the only reason would be people reporting your posts. Even the highest quality accounts (not even adult stuff) get terminated just because competition reports their stuff.

Yeah i added my website to the content source box but not sure that would get me banned though

Gotta say, I'm also interested to know how well you did doing this all by-hand. With your experience I've got to think that you could automate this process to some degree and perhaps adapt your way around the recent bans.

no i dont think so.
as for 'link juice' from tumblr, i have hundreds of thousands of links from tumblr to my sites according to webmaster tools and obviously they dont mean a damn thing to google.

adding links to each post is a lot of work. the easy way is to put it in blog description or footer of html. that way the links get carried in every post. i havent checked for a while, i dont remember the do-follow no-follow situation now.

then again, i have never ever successfully ranked a site except for one which i did not do anything intentionally at all.

Doesnt tumblr deletes things for no reason from time to time ?

Well atleast you built a decent following to your main site from your tumblrs .
