You need to start SEO for your website. as Simple as that

Learn some basics of SEO before creating backlinks ...

First get a better design use any good seo optimized wordpress theme then use silo structure there are tons of guides about worpress optimiztion and silo structure here read them all.

Now when you done with onsite then make a list of your competitors website and go through their link profiles using paid or free tools like opensiteexplorer and make a list of sites from where you can get the backlinks.

Now start making backlinks and then you will start ranking for sure.

Quality Content is king! You can either write 100 to 500-word articles for your blog on a regular basis. Grow your profile by following other bloggers in the same niche as you. Start writing guest posts on other blogs. You can get some backlinks for a start.

Some great suggestions here, let me just expand on a few. Try and go for building an authority site with articles that focus on one topic and answer the question being posed very thoroughly. At least 1000 words. Don't skimp because you think people won't read it, I have a single 5000 word blog post that creates an average time on site of 9min 30sec

the people who need the content will consume it no matter how long it is and still ask you for more.
