If you are starting a new site, start on wordpress. Will save you time in the future when you want to move from wix to wordpress

What is your niche (generally) and content/monetization plan?
Lot's of "how to" videos on YT about building/designing on WIX.
You will get lots of "dont use WIX, use your own hosting+wp" advice but there's nothing wrong with WIX as a starting point.

Stay away from Wix, hosting your own website via WordPress is much better,
you'll have more options & better functionality,
