Which of these is better for creating a simple yet sleek landing page?

WIX works better for me as far as I have tried, easy to manage builder and no un-needed functions that make it messy/ hard to navigate

Wix is good but I think it has high loading speed.
I think.

Wix is perfect for beginners, it’s easy to use, and offers tons of creative freedom. On the other hand, Squarespace is sleek and modern, with the best designs on the market.

Neither. Unless you plan to stay there forever.
Both hosts lock your site in to only their platform and make it more than a headache to migrate away meaning either staying, starting from scratch or going through an unneccessarily complicated process to migrate out.
Wordpress in the long run will offer more creative freedom, allows you to migrate to any host at any time you choose and is relatively easy to learn and utilise.

Squarespace is a better choice. Ideally, you shouldn't use any of them as there're better alternatives. Build a site on WordPress or Shopify if you don't have the time to learn HTML and CSS.

Wix is a good one. I created a portfolio sometime ago and it was nice and the features allowed me to make it look professional. It was nearly impossible to transfer it when wanted to have my own website though. I had to hire a web developer and create a new one instead.

I agree, I would never go for a free option. But that's what OP wanted, so Squarespace is out of the question in that case.

Therefore, the answer is neither as none of the mentioned platforms has all the features OP needs.

That is true. It is possible you will outgrow the default builder so I totally agree with this comment
