Wix profiles spam backlinks help

In August 2022, I encountered an issue on the Wix platform related to member profiles and their associated comment functionality. It came to my attention that approximately 30 to 40 profiles had been created with malicious content inserted into their profile descriptions. Further investigation using Ahrefs revealed the presence of multiple backlinks pointing to these profiles.

To mitigate this issue, I promptly removed the effected profiles and implemented access restrictions. Nevertheless, despite the profiles no longer being accessible, I have observed ongoing attempts to create backlinks that ultimately lead to a 404 error page. I am concerned about the potential negative impact on my website's search engine optimization (SEO) due to these activities.

Moving forward, I am seeking advice on the most effective approach to address this matter. The persistent attempts to create backlinks to non-existent pages are resulting in daily loss of backlinks, which are subsequently removed. I would appreciate guidance on the optimal course of action to mitigate this issue and prevent any negative impact on my website's SEO.

You could redirect those profiles via 301 redirects, and you have a couple of options as to where to redirect them to. If you think the links being created will provide some use, you could redirect them to a page on your site that contains a lot of internal links to try and spread out the 'link juice' they're giving, to assist in indexing etc. If you don't want those links pointing to your content you could 301 redirect to an external url, even something like google.com would do.

Thank you for replying. So the links are basically mainly casino ads or mens steroids. So im not looking at using them on my site as they are completely unrelated and very spammy (mainly hundreds of comments on various domains).

If i redirect to google.com will google see this as negative in any way? or could it effect me in any other way?

Heres an example of one of the backlinks http://pacificilavori.it/component/k2/item/4-donec-odio-quisque-volutpat-mattis-eros.html?start=5610 as you can see it has 6411 comments so they are using comments section for backlinking

google.com was an example, any giant domain would do, you just want to deflect those links somewhere else if you don't have anywhere else you could use them - some T1 links for another project, or a parasite perhaps.
