Wise e-commerce payment question

Already using normal merchant accounts, however there are still customers who do not have (or not willing to use?) a credit card to pay when placing an order.
So, as not to loose that x% of customers and business, maybe a Wise business account would be an option?
I read their e-commerce payment page on the Wise website but there is no information on how exactly this works?
Can you add the Wise payment option to your checkout page or some API....or what?

Can anyone explain how their system works when using it in an e-commerce website offering Wise as a payment option also?

Wise is not a payment gateway. You cannot add it to any website to process customer payments. Wise simply offers you bank accounts which you can use to receive and send payments. In case you're providing a service or selling a single product, you can give your customers your Wise account number to which they can send payments via their own bank account.

Is there some best practice in situations like this when using Wise on an e-commerce website?
Like for example adding a text line on the checkout page: "No credit card, then click here to request bank transfer info".
Or maybe like having a tab selection like 2checkout has between cc card and paypal and instead of paypal a tab so customer can select Wise bank transfer. So some sort of basic automation.

Or ANY other method that seems to work well in providing a customer with the bank transfer information making the process as smooth as possible to retain some sort of decent conversion?

Yes, you can add "bank transfer" as a payment option. When customers select it and checkout, they'll be shown your bank account details and instructions on how to send the payment from their own bank account.

What platform is your website on? Woocommerce and Shopify both natively support "bank transfer" as a payment option.

ok, thanks for the info Highradio. All my websites are custom built so not one of the standard ecommerce platforms. However I will get my developer to check the woocemerce and Shopify checkout pages for the banktransfer option and just replicate it like we have done with all the best options any way No use in reinventing the wheel!
