Wireless keyboards

On most big business networks most computer USB ports are locked down, all you can plug in are keyboards and mouses (or mice)..

Does anyone know if a wireless keyboard with a USB dongle would work? I want to do something and have the relevant key stroke script but don't want to be present at that terminal when I do what I want to do.

Will the computer reject my USB device or will the computer just think its another keyboard??
