Windstream DSL IP Address Questions...

I'm moving to a new area which has Windstream DSL and I need to know if I can easily switch my IP address with their service. With AT&T I can simply log into my modem and then disconnect/reconnect and I have a new IP. Is it this Easy with Windstream?

I really hate bumping threads.. but it would be much appreciated if anyone has an answer.

Yes it would work the same way. But what I have noticed is that they are now assigning IP address to mac address for like a month or two month time line. So no matter how many times you cycle you are not able to get a new IP address.

So basically a script for changing the IP would be worthless with Windstream?

One more question: If they assign the IP address to the MAC address, would I be able to spoof the MAC and get a new IP?

There are ways around it just depends on what you are trying to do.
