are you sure that you had xp pro and not home? most machines were bundled with homeWas able to make a DISC, but it keeps saying my product key is wrong. I did Key Finder and the Key is Different then the sticker, But I typed that in as well and it said it was still wrong. I'm wondering if theres something wrong with the burned disc. Also I got x86 xp,.
Windows xp can't be installed on USB. The Microsoft tool is for vista and higher. Though there are several alternate ways to do so, but those are complex enough a d it will be a good choice to use disk.Download a fresh ISO from here (make sure you get the correct version) then trying installing it via USB

Try the USB install tool:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool
or Rufus
https://rufus.akeo.ie/
or Universal USB Installer
http://www.pendrivelinux.com/universal-usb-installer-easy-as-1-2-3/
then try installing from USB.
