What exactly are these differences? Particularly with the phones. What's the difference between, say, bluestacks and using an Android browser profile on AdsPower?

Right, that's what I imagined as well.

Just unsure what Instagram sees from their end whether I access their website via an android emulator or an antidetect browser with TCP fingerprint spoofed to android.

Could you kindly share some insights, if you don't mind?
 
One is a full virtual mobile system you can use like a real phone, while the other only changes browser details to look like mobile.

We are talking about a multi-billion business, with one of the smartest teams in the World. I am also curious what exactly are they seeing =)
 
Just tick off one option. If you do multiple, that will signal that there is more than one browser operating on a different Desktop version. To keep the accounts safe, just select one option.
 
In my opinion they can detect that you are using some browser based tool or emulator, Real Device is the way to go
 
in ads powers it is option to choose os https request for your browser.
for example you are opening instagram.com and you select windows option so instagram will know that that this request came from windows os based browser
 
in simple words.
you are using adspower to hide your identity.
so this option will create your new identity and you have option to choose which identity you want.
