Windows 8 - - Headache & Eye problems ? ? ?

Hey buds,

A Friend of mine has a Windows 8 machine and its a monster---fully loaded, etc.

He's being forced to sell it because of "eye and headache problems ?"

I don't understand ? ? ?

I Googled it and found some Remote answers (i'm sure that Microsoft is in with Google) and couldn't find any concrete answers.

MY bud went to a few dr's and they mentioned something about having a Contrast problem and the way his brain perceives contrast. In short, Windows 8 gave him dry eye issues and heaches. (my buds a programmer and very knowledgeable about computers and tried every HW change possible). The end result of having a Windows 8 machine for my friend is that he gets headaches and dry eyes. SO MUCH SO that he was forced to switch back to a Windows 7 machine. When he did---the headaches disappeared.

WTF ? ?

Anyone ELSE hear of this issue?

Google doesn't have an explanation.

Because there is no explanation. Thats BS haha. A majority of the time you are looking at a screen identical to windows 7. And the times you are not are customizable to have whatever color you want.

and Microsoft isn't "in with google", just fyi. Google and Microsoft are direct competition with Microsofts Bing
 
He is a programmer, he spends 8-10 hrs in front of computer, no matter what OS he uses, he will have this problem for sure.

If you google it, you will see some people have the same problem----but no real answer to it.

No offense...but i don't put up BS posts.
 
Are you sure he didnt upgrade to iOS 7? There was some major issue with the latter, people got sick from the parallax effect.

forced to sell a laptop just coz of the OS?? epic!

he can just change the OS if that ' really ' is the problem, but i wont be accusing or trying to discuss it.

tell him to get a linux installed

My Friends GF got pregnant due to windows 8 and Google doesn't have an explanation for that too :(

I don't use Windows 8 anymore because well.. yeah its just not as good as Windows 7 but I'm pretty sure this could be solved with Flux as somebody else said :)
