I have pro version (more possibilities to disable crappy features), however:
-it's stealing my internet by spreading p2p updates to other users (even I marked tarif connection), come on Microshit - why you don't create infrastructure for updates?
-i can slow down update only for 30 days, after 30 days it will force update - close my all apps, close system and start updating oO
-update can kill your work, last time new update made all .exe files not recognised by system, WTF? solution - format, you cannot even backup because explorer is exe and some error oO
-it's killing my SSD every day, some high disc usage processes are working like Anti Malware Someshit and you cannot disable it, you have to modify registry but still working even consuming lower resources
-CPU killing - 30% of i7? WTF, every linux is getting 1-5% when iddle
-every update is killing GRUB with linux, lol ;)
-...x1000 things ;/

The reason why i am using it is that I need Photoshop and mac is not worth money but probably I will spend my hard earned bucks for some apple device ;/

why do you even bother to use windows, when you were using arch linux ? Come on man be better, you need to stop doing this shit. if you wanna play games like me then use windows 7 and you won't be happier. I dual boot arch and windows 7 and never even use internet on windows 7- just to play games. Don't get me started on ntfs :mad:Only if amd and nvidia contribute more to open source :p

maybe i will try to use photoshop on virtualbox - sorry but gimp or krita are not good ;)

never said it , never used any photo editing software but windows8-10 are absolute shit , even internet connectivity on laptops using windows 10 is bad af, switch to windows 7 and turn off internet

find Anti Malware Service Excecutable in Task Manager - observe it sometimes, especialy you are running some apps or copying files. It will get 100% ssd/hdd, sometimes also in iddle state ;)
 
We should all go back to Windows xp!
Windows 7 was ok. Windows 8 bad. Windows 10 is garbage :/

If you really have 30% CPU usage with an i7 processor when the system is idle, something is not right there and i don't mean the OS. I have an i3 processor, when the system is idle, the processor usage is 1-2%. Maybe it's a driver issue.

Every MS Antimalware stuff can be uninstalled or stopped. When you install a 3rd party AV, those get disabled automatically.

I can agree with the update procedure though, that's shit, however it never wrecked anything for me.

Maybe you're just using a bad distribution of the OS.

I've reinstalled windows 10 several times and always the same - 30% :) not drivers, maybe it's not like it, i have second generation of i7 it was before win 8 :)
 
Could it be you have some older hardware that isn't Win 10 certified and so lacks driver support from the manufacturer and now uses some shitty fallback driver or runs in compatibility mode?

// Edit also missing chipset drivers sometimes cause havoc und win. but that was already a thing with 95 / 98
 
:) yes, it's 2011 laptop but still better than all these modern i7 with "u" ;)
 
personally i like windows 10, works well for me and i dont see any high disk activity on SSD... Maybe there is some other problem involved here - maybe some other software conflict, or under-powered CPU or something?
 
I have a few machine with window 10 and it works fine, i use it mostly for domains sorting tasks.

But yea if you have budget, grab a mac, i am a new mac users and i enjoy it alot.
 
Nothing wrong with windows 10, don't use their mobile though they've messed up Skype, no Skype for windows phones since they updated their app, useless

I have a 3rd generation i3 in my machine, it's a 2012 model, technically it shouldn't support Win 10, but in reality it still does without any issue.

If you believe that you're using the best possible drivers, i guess you're shit outta luck.

Can't be more true, i am running window 10 on a pentium machine (yep pentium), and it run smoothly for months without any issue.
