Will YOUTUBE pay me?

I uploaded a video that went viral for 1.5 million views and paid roughly $2,900 cash. Today, the video showed up as "matching 3rd party content". I know that any money earned from this point will go to the 3rd party but my question is, will i still get paid the $2,900 for the views before it was claimed?

No, you probably won't, so I wouldn't get your hopes up. That has been my experience anyways.

So was it actually third party content though? Or was it falsely flagged?

You will get paid, don't worry. Last month I earned 6500$ and all of my videos were matched 3rd party. The money is in Adsense now and I will get it in 3-4 days. I've been doing this for over a year now.

That's what I do, upload the copyrighted material for 1-2 days, 5-10K views then I delete the video.

I don't do if you get paid but how could you make $2.9k with 1.5m views? My friend made $600 with 1 million.

Wasn't ignoring the question. I have a job and was away from computer access. The content was a local news story which was broadcast on the local news. So i don't own the material. I have disputed the claim as i don't believe the company owns the content but neither do I. Should i delete it all call it a day? Would stink to lose the traffic.. not sure what to do

It doesn't look like the 3rd party has monetized the video on their end as it plays without ads.. so I guess I have that going for me..

I got all 1.5 million views in 2 days so my cpc (cost per click) was probably higher than your friends
