Will using nulled scripts come back to me later?

Sorry for this newbie question but i just need to be certain.

I use nulled wordpress themes and I was wondering how safe is it ?
I use them sometimes when designing sites for clients so i dont want it to come back to me later.
I know that i wont get updates.

Im guessing this is a good place to ask because everywhere else i look they say how dangerous it is but then again i dont think they have a clue what they are talking about.

And what are some of the other cons (if any ) when using them?

Nulled scripts may also have backdoors in them.

I second Zapdos, I heard from severals sources that content from scriptmafia are full of backdoors.
A member of BHW even publied a guide of "how to get free backlink from template share"

I'm not sure if Zapdos is referring to intentional backdoors, or simply bugs because of old nulled versions that could be susceptible to XSS or something.

Regardless he's totally right, I would personally keep it legit.

Nulled wp themes may contain hidden spammy links. While viewing the website click CTRL+A and see if any hidden text appears specially at the bottom.
