Will this work? - Just starting out - Appreciating any advice

Hi guys,
I hope you are enjoying christmas and I wish all of you a happy holiday season!
I have been lurking in this forum since yesterday to understand more about affiliate marketing in general and I would really appreciate if some of you could give me some advice on whether this plan that I have right now will work if I put in the necessary work.
My plan:
  1. Find a niche to create a Facebook fan page about (currently brainstorming)
  2. Create a Facebook fangpage (good looking banner, profile picture etc.)
  3. Create a Blog (or just a Landingpage?) to which I can direct people from my Facebook page
  4. Post content, join groups, interact with people -> Hopefully get some sales.
  5. Maybe experiment with buying FB ads (small budget) to get traffic to Blog/Landingpage

This is the rough concept and I honestly have no idea whether that is a good concept or an absolutely trash one since I am a complete beginner regarding affiliate marketing.
Could you guys maybe give me some helpful tips how I can get started with this and maybe point me in the right direction? Is my basic concept realizable?

As I said, any advice would be much appreciated!

Stopped at "Facebook fan page" - no, it won't work.
 
I don't see anything wrong with your idea. Anything can make you money, it just depends on how you implement it and how twist methods. Because if it's out there online and people can copy the method then 100s if not thousands of people are already doing it. So eventhough a method is saturated, you can bank from it if you twist the method.

I suggest you spend more time on this forum or other guides online to gain more knowledge and THEN work on this method.

Checkout the threads on this forum and you will find tons of methods posted by people that are already making money. You will get real life experience from them and not just as method that may or may not work.

There is no such thing as facebook organic reach. You either trolling or never worked with FB.

I wasn't talking about Facebook in general. OP asked if this method would work so I mentioned that you can make money with any method if done properly.

And about the organic reach, OP said he will be using Facebook Ads aswell and interact with people in groups. So he doesn't really need organic reach since he's using ads or doing the work himself.

I'm sorry, I'm old, getting blind, but I don't see anything except Facebook.
He'll get bans few seconds after he hijacks any group. About ads - I can only see "small budget", idk.

Also, "affiliate" and "FB ads" don't go in the same sentence, for beginner.

That's why I assumed that he's hopping on organic reach, my bad.

Haha no worries man.
He wouldn't get banned from Facebook groups if he asks the moderator first if he is allowed to promote.

I agree on the Facebook budget part tho. "Small budget" doesn't go far.

My point is that people create groups just to promote their stuff, so they usually don't allow randoms to join and "spam". :)

Alright. The only reason I said small budget is because I don't have much experience and therefore want to experiment with some add first.
Do you have any advice on using Facebook ads in general? Is the general procedure to just send people to your landing page from the ads?
 
As I've said not too long ago, don't invest your time into something owned by Zuckerberg.

Facebook Ads seem to not do much when you spend less money. So what you could possibly do is create ad sets with different targets ( locations / interest / gender ) and see which ad set is bringing you the most of what you need ( ie. Landing page views ). Once you find the winning ad set, increase your daily budget for that particular ad set. Keep doing that until you find a winning ad set.

And no the sole purpose of Facebook Ads isn't just bringing people to your landing page. There is a lot more you can do with it. You will see it for yourself when you start with it. :)
