Will this have a positive effect on rankings?

If I add more words to an article to increase its length from 150 to 500,but have the keywords I'm ranking for,mentioned more as well. Will I go up in rankings or stay the same?

Especially after the Panda Update it might be a good move to increase the word count to 500, i would be sceptical though that this would have an immediate impact. It depends of course on the niche and how competetive it is...

Should be an improvement, but definately not immediate.
