I am using screen grabs from movies for my quiz based youtube channel, just one screengrab and asks which movie is this scene from. will it cause any issue when i apply for monetization ?
Yeah this can get you in trouble since it's not your own content. YouTube doesn't care about transfomative videos unless you're a huge channel and have a good network.
what if i use some app to make the scene look like a pencil drawing or something like that? am getting about 10k views per weekNo, also you will not be monetized due to the reuse of/repeatable content rules...
They will show ads though, you just don't get paid -_-
In theory, you should be fine, but if it looks like a cookie cutter, low effort video you still have a chance not to get monetized, YouTube is finicky AF when it comes to that!what if i use some app to make the scene look like a pencil drawing or something like that? am getting about 10k views per week
i havent had any strikes so far but not sure if it will be approved for monetizationI also have a channel in the quiz niche, maybe we can talk and share ideas.
I don’t think you’ll have any issue with that, as other channels(monetized) are using stuff like that
You can always risk it, but once your account is reviewed or reported by the original content owner you're fucked. Many people get away with it though. I personally would not put all my eggs in this basket, especially if it takes you a lot of time to create those videos.any way to get around it?
