As of June 15 Ebay and Paypal will be separate companies.
Do you think this will make it easier to create new accounts after being banned?

I think the separation between both parties i will bring any positive changes in favor of the seller's rather, their might create further complication because i've notices few changes on both platform which are not in favor of the seller's.

    Thanks

i'm pretty sure them becoming 2 companies is more like a formality and the users won't really notice anything from this, at least at first for sure

it's just a wild dream that they will become more lenient when it comes to security, acc creation, ip tracking and alike
why would they discontinue something what they build for long years and works pretty well for them?!

Investors have been agitating for this split for a very long time now. Because they feel that eBay is holding PayPal back. PayPal has been providing most of the earnings growth over the last several years and financial stocks have done much better than eBay which is why investors feel they would be better off if the companies were split.

Also PayPal doesn't want any alternative money processors like 2Checkout, Google Wallet, WePay, Authorize.Net, Alipay, Apple Pay, Intuit, ProPay, Click2Sell, Dwolla, Braintree, ClickBank, Stripe, Gate2Shop, or Perfect Money gaining any ground on PayPal.

I don't see many changes happening eBay and PayPal will continue to cooperate and will more than likely still share data.

You have to remember that the only thing we can all count on is the game will constantly change. Those of us who were selling online in 2010 and before can tell you that selling today is quite different. Nobody here knows exactly what the future will be like but I can tell you this it will be different than it is today.

I don't think it will be easier. Ebay and paypal are very strict and I think they are stricter.

I'm almost 100% certain that it will actually get tougher to run stealth accounts since eventualy eBay and Paypal are each going to have their own security in place. I think chances are pretty good that eBay is going to ask people to send in documents BEFORE they allow you to sell, like trying to sell in Amazon's restricted categories.

That's not good news. Is that just a rumour or will they actually do it?

The whole point of ebay/paypal breakup is to enable paypal to get into amazon and others, and no way Amazon does business with eBay until this happens.
