Hello, I have a website reviewing products , every article is unique about 400 words. I am planning to add a category similar to e-shop, products won't have a unique description any more only some few sentences from other shops. Will this affect my whole website seo ? :)

Try to do unique content on product description because most of them were using same content for product description so you can easy to kick them with unique your unique description.
 
It can affect your website in positive manner if you do well.Add category that will be pretty good.
 
It won't really affect it that much, but it won't help it either. I'd make those 400 words posts 800-1000 words if you want a bump up.
 
It won't really help you, but then how can you go wrong with manufacturer's description. It will also create stronger internal linking.
I as well, would suggest bumping up your review content.
 
If you are using the same content over and over again, your website would soon be treated like just a affiliate link farm nothing else. From my experience, it is well worth to write unique content for each product, to ensure that the pages of your website get valued. For amazon I normally write atleast 500 words for each product, on my websites.

If its a pillar page like multiple products ranked on a single page, the word count easily goes above 1000 words. It is comparatively easier to rank your website if you have unique content.
 
Without unique content? Don't think it's a good idea, OP.
 
Pay someone to rewrite the product descriptions for you just to be safe and focus on making your standard content longer. Over time it would be a good idea to use unique images for your products too.
 
Thumb rule of SEO, never copy content. Whether it is 1,000 words or 100. It's not worth the risk. You're better off with writing unique content. You may not be penalized, but you could also be. Why take that big a risk when it can be avoided simply by writing unique, readable content?

I agree with all the above answers

But i have noticed that in some niches the products description has lacked information because the manufacturer has provided the information as part of an image.

Look at your products and see whats lacking in description from manufacturer and add that to your own unique description.

I have seen several product described by the manufacturer leaving out major key details (keywords) which have more searches for and less result than product is described for.

TLDR: Know the product and chose your keywords when making new description
