It doesnt threaten the US dollar as no one use it as currency - its just a storage of wealth.

When you store your money in bitcoin, the banks make nothing. The banks of America need your money, so they can get money. For every dollar you put in your bank, they lend 10 dollars. For every dollar you put in bitcoin,
why banning ? the government will earn money.
If i'm not wrong, each US citizen that have a crypto portfolio will have to pay taxes on the earning....

It messes with the banks.

For every dollar you store in a bank, they can lend 10 dollars out.

For ever dollar you spend on bitcoin to store your money, that's 10 dollars the bank can't lend out. On scale, that can cause a severe problem.

Not true at the moment. Banks have way too much money and nothing to do with it. Thats why interests are all time low now and even negative - the banks literally pay to have their money stored. This is the very reason why stocks are all time high, the crypto is all time high, property market is so high, even art prices are all time high - too much money and nothing to do with them.

Yes but interest rates vary. They average out around 5% over long periods of time. Crypto is long term. Therefor it's a threat if it becomes to big.

ban on BTC is out of the question.
Few new rules may surface or something to keep it under control but it won't get banned.

I dont think so mate. Govt can come up with the kind of taxation.
Also lot of investors invested in BTC already.

Fun fact: FBI is the majority stakeholder of Bitcoin

They are the gov, they can if they wish.
It's mathematically impossible. Bitcoin lacks many things, but one of it's revolutionary accomplishments is that it can't be censored

I think it is possible but it may be sooner or later who knows

Recent news was they are allowing crypto in US now!

Who thinks they will? Poll ^^

It's just hit a 1 TRILLION Market Cap. It's beginning to be a threaten the US dollar. They have to ban it.

I don't know how they'd ban it tho, because US corporations are buying Bitcoin heavily. Would US harm their own companies on purpose? I don't think so.

I will say this only once

HOLD

your USD

Truth to be told BTC value and usefulness come exactly as is good storage of wealth, but this quality make it bad currency - no one want to spend currency that is becoming more valuable the more you keep it. Also If interest raises, investors will drop the BTC crashing the price back down, so nah, not really a threat to the mighty dollar, at least not for in the near to mid term future.

I know they will ban bitcoin. thats why i didnt buy bitcoin :D

They would to protect their economy. They will most likely be keeping track on which companies are buying in, and if they was to ban it, they would time it right before it got out of hand.
